hummus

Ingredients

Dried Garbanoze Beans
1.5 cups
Garlic
1 clove
Serrano pepper (or your favorite chili pepper)
About 1 inch
Lemon
1
Tahini
5 tbsp
Nuetral oil
4 tbsp
Cumin
1/4 tspn
Salt
to taste

Instructions

  1. soak beans overnight
  2. boil beans for 1 hour, skimming the foam that appears while cooking.
  3. put garlic, cumin, juice of 1 lemon, tahini, salt, and 1 inch of the pepper (i like more), and oil into a blender
  4. blend it
  5. add beans and blend until smooth
  6. adjust seasoning and texture! Use water (or tahini) to thin it out. Add more beans to thicken
